    Bionic vet

Post  Lizzie on Tue Jul 27, 2010 11:41 am

On tonight BBC1 after the 10 news

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Saw a clip of it today on tis morning. A lad had a massive tumor on his front leg. First vet said there was nothing could be done and to have him PTS. This guy on the programme removed the tumor and gave the do a new leg almost by using metal pins and plates, re build the whole leg to get rid of all trace of the tumor.

The dog is fine and carries on now like any normal silly lab would.

Costs a fortune. His theory is that medicine is just that and all treatments for humans should be the same for animals.

Thats all that worries me, quality of life. But from what I saw of it earlier the animals were like new.

I just wouldnt want unnecessary pain and suffering in the HOPE it would be treatable.

    That was pretty amazing.

Makes the other Medivet lot look a bit amature to say the least.

That black lab was crazy! So was the owner Laughing
